The Metrix Program is an intensive non residential treatment program for addiction.
What is AACE Metrix?
How Does It Relate to the Matrix Program®?
The Metrix Program at Ashcliffe Psychology was introduced in 2018 by Directors Michael Tunnecliffe and Kerryn Ashford-Hatherly after completing advanced training in the Matrix Model in the United States. Recognising a need for an intensive addiction treatment program in Perth, Western Australia, the program was tailored to meet the needs of local participants.
Over time, the program has evolved significantly to better support participants’ recovery journeys. Ashcliffe Psychology adopts a client-centered, eclectic approach, integrating evidence-based treatments and psychological assessments to enhance outcomes. As a result, the program has grown beyond its origins in the Matrix Model and no longer aligns with the original structure.
The transition to AACE Metrix reflects this evolution. AACE stands for Ashcliffe Addiction Counselling and Education, and "Metrix" highlights the program’s focus on metrics-driven insights and evidence-based methodologies. The program incorporates comprehensive psychological assessments, mood tracking, and individualised recovery planning to empower participants with a deeper understanding of their well-being, triggers, and progress.
AACE Metrix represents Ashcliffe Psychology’s commitment to delivering a dynamic, multifaceted addiction treatment program tailored to the needs of individuals in Perth and beyond.
